My Vintage Royal Doulton Collectibles
I have been collecting Royal Doulton figurines for many years. What makes these smaller figurines so appealing? I would say there size. I still love the larger figurines, but the detail on the miniatures is amazing. They don't take up as much space. So, you can present more in your little china cabinet.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Doulton

Kate Greenaway 1846-1901 was born in London, England. A beloved book illustrator and artist. "Her children" were dressed in her own versions of 18th century and Regency style fashions. Her clothing illustrations of mob caps, straw bonnets for the girls and skeleton suits for the boys were adapted by Liberty of London as actual children's clothing. Catherine Greenaway died at age 55 from breast cancer.

What can I say about Bessie Pease Gutmann? She was an artist from the Victorian era. Born 1876 to 1960. I have collected her baby prints for many years. For 70 years Bessie, a beloved artist known as "the true delineator of child life." The antique print below is entitled "Popularity" circa 1950's by Ms Gutmann. This would be a great vintage touch to the baby's nursery.
Don't throw away your old garden tools. Just re-purpose them. I love to create little areas in my yard where my old tools, pots and things will catch your eye. Put a old rocking chair in your peaceful place just so you can enjoy it. Sit and read a gardening book with a cup of tea.

You can find inexpensive used rain boots at your local thrift store. Add some small pea gravel to the bottom for drainage. If needed you may drill holes in the bottom of the boots. Pick out your fav. plants add more soil, water and enjoy this funky little garden.
These vintage baby shoes would be a great vintage touch to a baby's nursery. Or to even bronze them for book ends or a picture frame. The graphics on the box are pretty cool.
