I love old, vintage and shabby. Give me a white picket fence & farmhouse with chickens, horses and grandchildren any day. I love to garden and watch things blossom. Nature is amazing all by itself. I love "old souls" who know the meaning of life and are willing to share it with you. Watching the waves crash against the beach is better than therapy. I wish I learned how to surf. But I will teach my grandchild. PS. I have integrated my etsy shop into this blog.

Vintage Chic Using A Soft Color Palette
I like to say that my style is "vintage chic". It is not hard to decorate this way. But, first you have to accept the notion that your decor does not have to match. Things don't have to be new. One of the most important things is choosing what you like.
When you are deciding on a palette of colors that you want for your "vintage chic" design, choose soft colors. Light blue, white, cream, soft pinks, and greens. Floral designs are a great way to add colors. Adding different textures such as quilts or lace tablecloth's. Just as in "cottage chic" roses and peonies are a must.
